The Wealth Mentor and Meme Therapist

In August of 2002, I started writing and publishing articles on my Prosperity Paradigm eZine. These articles always talked about the various aspects of wealth creation, the power of the human mind and how to use this mind power to enact The Law of Attraction and, of course, how to create a prosperity consciousness or personal prosperity paradigm.
Times change and so the Prosperity Paradigm website has evolved, now in 2008, to become an online community for people who are interested in becoming better conscious wealth creators by utilizing proven principles like The Law of Attraction and the various other natural laws that affect how each of us can use our personal magical mind power to create, for ourselves, a life of abundance, purpose and fulfillment.
Instead of, or in addition to, writing articles about these subjects, I will be posting to this blog on a regular basis. Sometimes it will just be short text entries; sometimes it will be video blogs. It is my hope that, by doing this, I can add some value to your own journey through life. Perhaps I can even inspire you to share these success secrets with other people as well. You will be rewarded for doing so. The universe likes those who become contributors.
This will not be all seriousness. I am going to have some fun with this and I hope that I can provide you with as many smiles as insights. I look forward to your feedback and contributions to this new prosperity paradigm blog.

The Law of Attraction
Every day, it seems, I get another email from someone who wants to tell me how I can use the Law of Attraction to get what I want. When I look at what they offer, in most cases, I see people who are offering advice about something they don’t fully understand.
I first heard about this Law of Attraction back in 1981 when I began studying Charles Haanel’s Master Key System. I’ve studied it now for 27 years. I think I know how it works. And what I can tell you is that the Law of Attraction does not work and NEVER will work to bring you what you want unless your desires, your thoughts (your beliefs and ideals) and your actions are all aligned.
The Law of Attraction states that “like energy is attracted to like energy” How that translates for you is that those things that have an energy pattern that is most aligned with, or in harmony with, your own energetic output will be attracted to you… whether you want it or not.
And what is your personal energetic output? Your predominant thought patterns combined with your most consistent emotional output and your actual day to day activities. What you do is just as much a part of your energetic output as what you think and what you emote.
So, if your attention, whether conscious or subconscious, is focused on lack and limitation and your attitude (overall feeling) is one of trepidation or doubt or fear and you continue to spend your time in non-productive activities, you will attract lack and limitation no matter what you think you want to have.
If, however, you can train yourself to create specific ideals, focus your attention on them almost to the exclusion of the current events and circumstances in your life AND fervently believe in the reality of these ideals AND desire to have these ideals made real in your life AND be grateful, in advance, for their existence, AND design a plan of action to go about creating these ideals, then, and only then, will you attract those things into your life that will lead to the effectualization of those ideals.
This is not rocket science. If you want to have more in your life, you must become more. If you want your life to change, you must change. Become > Enact > Attain.
What you get to have in life is that which resonates with how you are being in life.
End of story. It is no secret.
Failure Is Not An Option?
I’ve heard it said that you must approach a goal as if failure were not an option. It is a great and powerful thing to have a super positive attitude, but we all know that failure is always there lurking like some beast in the night, in the closet or under the bed.
So, let’s shed some light on the idea of failure so that it stops being that monster. Failure is no big deal. And, in fact, it is your friend. Only when you think that failure is the end of the story does it become the danger you imagine it to be; when you see it in its proper place, it is the thing you may need most to succeed.
Any person who goes through life without experiencing failure is the ultimate failure in life.
Why? Because if a person has never failed, they have never attempted to achieve or accomplish extraordinary goals, something outside of their comfort level, something noteworthy. They have not reached for excellence and have stayed safely within the realm of mediocrity.
Success is not defined by or built upon the absence of failure. Rather, success is felt only when failure is accepted as part of the process and is overcome.
An athlete becomes an outstanding success when they set new records. Babe Ruth set home run records. He also set strike out records. Every strike out was a failure at bat. The average major league player is taught by batting coaches to ‘get a hit’ or avoid strike outs rather than strive for a home run.
Most highly successful entrepreneurs fail multiple times in the process of hitting their home runs.
A child learning to walk falls down many times before taking those successful first steps, then stumbles and falls again and again before being able to walk, and then run. The body needs to learn the failure before it can know the success.
Without the willingness to experience yet another failure, no child would ever walk. Without the willingness to experience failure, no great deed would ever get done, no new thing would ever be accomplished, nothing new would ever be learned.
Thomas Edison would only have been a failure if he had not been prepared to fail hundreds of times before hitting on the right combo of gas and filament in his quest to invent the electric light bulb. His attitude was so focused on success that he did not even consider these failed attempts as failures. He called them successful eliminations of ways that did not work.
Another highly successful person, the great hockey player who set all kinds of scoring records, Wayne Gretzky, who missed (or failed at) more than 90% of his shots, once said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
Only when you are prepared to fail, will you ever truly succeed. Those who risk the most failures, succeed the most. In other words, embrace failure…it demonstrates that you are on your way to success.
What is the Prosperity Paradigm?
A paradigm, as I use the term here, is a set of experiences, beliefs, values and assumptions that affect the way an individual perceives reality and responds to that perception.
I define prosperity as an abundance of all things held ideal in mind and dear in heart.
Consequently, if a person truly had a prosperity paradigm, they would perceive and believe in the reality of an abundance of all the ideals that they are passionate about experiencing.
If you are not experiencing this abundance, then it is likely that you are holding some fundamental beliefs that serve to support a paradigm of lack and limitation. I call that the paucity paradigm; and it is the basic paradigm that is commonly held by most people.
You can see it everywhere. People believe that the pie is limited. If I have a bigger slice, then someone else must get a smaller slice. It almost seems logical; but it is not. The truth is that when I see the pie as being bigger, perhaps even infinite, then I can help myself to a bigger slice, and in so doing, create more for you to access as well.
How about you? Do you see limitation or abundance?
All wealth, both material and non-material wealth, is a product of the human mind. We create possibilities or ideals in our imagination; and then through thought, desire, belief, intent and inspired action bring those ideals into tangible existence for others to experience.
So, when you adopt the prosperity paradigm, you actually enhance the ability of other people to move out of the paucity paradigm and into a new world of empowerment.
